We are committed to protecting your privacy in keeping with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, R.S.C. 2000, c.5, (“PIPEDA”).

This policy outlines what data we collect, how we use it, security and retention measures, and your rights regarding your personal information.

What Information Do We Collect?

We collect personal information that you and/or your counsel provides to schedule, conduct, and complete said mediation.  Personal information may include:

How We Use Your Information?

We use the collected information for the sole purpose of providing mediation services and to communicate with our clients.

We will not use or disclose personal information for purposes other than those for which the information was collected, except with your consent or as required by law.

Consent:

By voluntarily submitting an online request to schedule a mediation, it implies your consent to the collection, use, and disclosing of information at the time of collection (namely contact details and pleadings).

By returning a signed Mediation Agreement, it confirms your expressed consent to the collection, use, and disclosing of information at the time of collection (namely receipt of statement of issues and other supporting documents).

Security of Personal Information:

We use appropriate security measures to protect against loss, theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, use or modification of personal information.

Retention of Personal Information:

Personal information is retained by us only for as long as it is required for the purpose for which it was collected and in compliance with applicable legislative requirements. This may result in us holding personal information beyond the end of our relationship with a client, such as when it may be subsequently required to respond to issues related to the purpose for which it was collected. When information is no longer required, we implement procedures to delete, destroy or convert it into an anonymous form.

Your Rights:

Subject to legal or contractual restrictions, you can, at any time, withdraw your consent.  All requests to withdraw consent are to be made in writing and emailed to: admin@jobmediations.com.  Withdrawal of your consent may impact our ability to provide or continue to provide services.

Subject to legal, contractual restrictions, and reasonable notice, you can, at any time, request access to, correct, or delete your personal information.  To protect your privacy and security, we will also take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.  All such requests will be handled in accordance with the provisions of PIPEDA and are to be made in writing and emailed to: admin@jobmediations.com.
